Xochipilli project started in Oct 2007 lead by the Properuvian arts UK to collect the history of Latin American people in the UK.
We have been working with several Latin American organizations such as Anos Dorados, Latin American Disabled People, Latin American Refugees, Different youth organizations such as semillitas, Raices Latinas, Jovenes sin fronteras and artists from across the continent based in the UK.
the project included :
*Plating Latin American flowers and vegetables durin the summer of 2008 at community green houses.
*Collecting oral history interviews of Latin Americans since 1970's and 1960's about their memories and history of community building.
*Fiming and and archiving material.
*Poetry and narrative workshops still runig lead by Maria Eugenia Bravo, Alfredo Cordal and Paloma Sosaya.
*Research by different specialists in the UK, about cultural memory, social antropology and oral history.
*Working in collaboration with other institutions.
